Working Through Problems Online
LifeSchoolers lets you solve worksheet problems directly in your browser with instant feedback. This interactive approach helps you learn more effectively by immediately showing you whether your answers are correct and providing step-by-step solutions when you need them.
Problem Layout
Each problem is displayed with the problem statement at the top, followed by an optional work space area where you can jot down scratch work. Below the work space is the answer input field where you type your final answer.
Entering Your Answer
Type your answer in the answer input field below each problem. Different problem types accept different answer formats:
- Numeric answers — Whole numbers, decimals, or negative numbers
- Algebraic expressions — Expressions with variables such as 2x + 3
- Fractions — Use the / symbol, for example 3/4
- Coordinates — Use parentheses, for example (3, 4)
- Multiple choice — Select the correct option from A, B, C, or D
If you need special math symbols, use the Math Symbol Toolbar that appears below the answer input field. See the "Using the Math Symbol Toolbar" article for details.
Submitting and Getting Feedback
When you are ready, click the Submit button to check your answer. You will receive instant, color-coded feedback:
- Green — Your answer is correct. Congratulations!
- Red — Your answer is incorrect. The correct answer will be shown.
Reviewing Solutions
If you answer a problem incorrectly, a See Steps button will appear. Click it to view the complete step-by-step solution so you can understand where you went wrong and learn the correct approach. You can also access solutions for correct answers if you want to verify your method.
Tip: Do not rush through problems. Take time to work through each one carefully, and use the step-by-step solutions as a learning tool rather than just checking answers.
