Billing and Invoices

Viewing Your Payment Method

Your current payment method is displayed in the Billing section of the Account Settings page. You will see the card brand (such as Visa or Mastercard), the last 4 digits of the card number, and the expiration date. This lets you quickly confirm which card is being charged each month.

Updating Your Payment Method

To change the card on file, click the Update Payment Method button in the Billing section. This opens the Stripe billing portal in a new tab where you can add a new card, remove old ones, or set a different default payment method. Changes take effect immediately for your next billing cycle.

Tip: If your card is about to expire, update it before your next billing date to avoid any interruption in service. Stripe will also send you an email reminder if a charge fails due to an expired card.

Billing History

Below your payment method, the Billing History table lists all past invoices. Each row shows:

  • Date — when the charge occurred
  • Description — a summary of what was billed (e.g., “Premium Plan — Monthly”)
  • Amount — the dollar amount charged
  • Status — the current state of the invoice

Invoice Statuses

Each invoice is color-coded for quick scanning:

  • Paid (green) — payment was successfully processed
  • Refunded (gray) — the charge was refunded to your card
  • Open (yellow) — the invoice is pending and has not yet been paid
  • Failed (red) — the payment attempt was unsuccessful; update your payment method to resolve

Downloading Invoices

To view or download a full invoice PDF, click the description link on any invoice row in the Billing History table. This opens the detailed invoice directly from Stripe in a new tab, where you can download it as a PDF for your records or submit it for reimbursement.

Billing Cycle

Billing occurs monthly on the same calendar day you originally subscribed. For example, if you subscribed on March 10, you will be billed on the 10th of each following month. If the day does not exist in a given month (e.g., the 31st in a 30-day month), you are billed on the last day of that month instead.
